At HSK 5, you're able to:

1. Report on your studies and your work, and discuss how a business is run.
2. Explain a piece of science or a technology product, and talk about the environment.
3. Discuss economic and social questions, and events between countries.
4. Talk about the Chinese language and its writing, Chinese history, traditional thought and the arts.

HSK 5 covers 3,600 words and 1,527 characters, counted from the start of the syllabus.
