September 1. This year, my son has become a middle-school teacher, and today my daughter started work at a primary school too. This morning, they talked about how their students were learning—one about middle-school students, the other about primary-school children. Both my children are teachers now.
In the afternoon, I went to my daughter's school, hoping we could go home together. After class, she said she was going out for a meal with her university friends. I said that was fine and remembered how often I'd spent time with friends when I was a university student. She's no longer a little girl. I'm happy, though I miss the old days a little too.
