Chinese Tools

These are the Chinese tools on Chinese Boost. They all run in your browser, which means nothing you type is sent anywhere, and they carry on working if your connection drops.

Each one answers as you type. If you’re not sure which you want, start with the Hanzi to Pinyin converter. Paste in any Chinese text and you get tone-marked pinyin back, with the words spaced the way they should be.

The Word Segmenter is the one to reach for with a whole article in front of you. It splits the text into the words it is made of and lists them, so you can see what vocabulary the piece uses before you start reading it.
