Type or paste Chinese text, or choose characters from a published List or an HSK band. Sign in to use your saved words. Each worksheet includes up to 40 characters. Characters stay in their original order unless you choose Shuffled under More settings.
Structure
Each character comes with its pinyin, English meaning and four small structure pictures. The pictures show structures (结构) such as left and right, top and bottom, single component and enclosed. Each picture has its short Chinese name below it, such as 左右, 上下 or 独体字. Circle the picture that matches the character.
Radical
Write each character’s radical (部首) in the square. Use the form shown in the character. For 江, write 氵 rather than 水. Characters that are their own radical are left out of this part.
Parts
Split each character once (拆字) into two or three parts. Write one part in each square. For example, 好 splits into 女 and 子.
Answer key
The answer key has its own pages. It gives each structure’s name in Chinese and English. It lists each radical with its English meaning. It also shows the parts.
Where the answers come from
Answers come from the same character data as the structure pages and radical pages. Characters with no questions are left out. The status message lists them.
