Choose your words

Choose a published List, an HSK band, one of your own Lists or your saved words. Filter saved words by tag, HSK band or both. Sets of up to 300 words print in one booklet. Larger sets are split into parts of 50.

What each word shows

Words are in pinyin order. Each entry shows simplified characters, traditional characters where different, pinyin coloured by tone and meanings for each reading. Everyday classifiers include a short phrase and its English translation. Where available, an example sentence includes pinyin and English. Each headword links to its dictionary entry.

Contents, sentences and practice

The contents show where each section starts and the pinyin range on each page of words. For Lists, other example sentences using the booklet’s words appear after the word entries by default. You can turn these off. You can also add writing practice rows for each character, with strokes to trace.

The self-test

You can add a self-test. Each test page shows only Chinese, followed by an answer page with mirrored columns. Print double-sided and flip on the long edge to put each answer behind its word.
