A Dining Table That Doubles as a Desk

吃饭(Chīㄔfànㄈㄢˋ)的(de˙ㄉㄜ)桌子(zhuōㄓㄨㄛzi˙ㄗ)叫(jiàoㄐㄧㄠˋ)饭桌(fànㄈㄢˋzhuōㄓㄨㄛ)，读书(dúㄉㄨˊshūㄕㄨ)、写字(xiěㄒㄧㄝˇzìㄗˋ)的(de˙ㄉㄜ)桌子(zhuōㄓㄨㄛzi˙ㄗ)叫(jiàoㄐㄧㄠˋ)书桌(shūㄕㄨzhuōㄓㄨㄛ)。我家(Wǒㄨㄛˇjiāㄐㄧㄚ)不(búㄅㄨˊ)大(dàㄉㄚˋ)，没有(méiㄇㄟˊyǒuㄧㄡˇ)书桌(shūㄕㄨzhuōㄓㄨㄛ)，所以(suǒㄙㄨㄛˇyǐㄧˇ)我(wǒㄨㄛˇ)在(zàiㄗㄞˋ)饭桌(fànㄈㄢˋzhuōㄓㄨㄛ)上(shàngㄕㄤˋ)工作(gōngㄍㄨㄥzuòㄗㄨㄛˋ)。白天(Báiㄅㄞˊtiānㄊㄧㄢ)，桌(zhuōㄓㄨㄛ)上(shàngㄕㄤˋ)有(yǒuㄧㄡˇ)电脑(diànㄉㄧㄢˋnǎoㄋㄠˇ)和(héㄏㄢˋ)书(shūㄕㄨ)；晚上(wǎnㄨㄢˇshang˙ㄕㄤ)，桌(zhuōㄓㄨㄛ)上(shàngㄕㄤˋ)有(yǒuㄧㄡˇ)我(wǒㄨㄛˇ)和(héㄏㄢˋ)女朋友(nǚㄋㄩˇpéngㄆㄥˊyou˙ㄧㄡ)爱(àiㄞˋ)吃(chīㄔ)的(de˙ㄉㄜ)菜(càiㄘㄞˋ)。

A table for eating is called a dining table; a table for reading and writing is called a desk. My home is small, and I don’t have a desk, so I work at the dining table. During the day, my computer and books are on the table; in the evening, it’s set with dishes my girlfriend and I love.
